The Submarine Conference is an immersive 2-day program curated and hosted by Studio Subu for organisations working in the social sector. It is an opportunity for participants to step back and gain a fresh perspective on strategies, techniques and best practices in communications that can be leveraged to power-boost the reach and impact in Fundraising, Program Development, Recruitment and Brand Development.

Question the traditional scope of communications in the social sector and redefine what it entails in order to reach your organisational goals. Walk out of this session with a different perspective on your current ways of goal setting. 

Approaching Design for Social Impact

Insight into the difference between good design and impactful design. This session and workshop focusses on tools and design solutions that we use, with examples of the impact user-centered design has had on our work.

The Digital Future

This session, facilitated by our guest speaker, will focus on the importance of keeping up with digital trends, and leveraging platforms in the most effective manner. Learn innovative ways to engage with your audience through digital media.

The Pillars of a Unique Brand Story

Explore the significance of constantly polishing your brand story and defining your unique voice. Learn about tools that we have developed to structure and highlight your narrative, and define your brand voice, keeping your beneficiaries, team and supporters in mind.

Leveraging the Power of PR

This session outlines the scope and power of Public Relations for the social sector. Smart tips on how to approach PR with limited resources. Studying best practices and why such strategies work.

Proactive vs Reactive Comms Strategy

Our take on why it is important to prioritise important over urgent, and how to balance both in your role. Tools and strategies on calendaring, prioritising, planning, accomodating for ad-hoc requirements, and knowing how to say no!

Studio Subu brings strategy, content and design together to solve communication challenges for organisations driving social change in India. We help orgs write their story better, and design experiences that their end-users can deeply connect with. We work with teams to design and implement a strong communications strategy for the organisation. We engage in long-term partnerships to build long-lasting creative solutions that are customised for fundraising goals, brand awareness, recruitment, and program development.

We have worked on over 100 projects since 2016, with over 30 organisations in the field of education, health, women rights and community development. Our team is highly experienced in the social sector and we know what it takes to help communicate what you do, better.

SC 2019 will be held on October 18-20 (fri-sun) in Goa, at the Maravilha Resort.

The Submarine Conference 2019, will limit seats to 20 members across social sector organizations.

Participation Fee: Rs. 5,000
Fee includes 2 nights stay at Maravilha Resort (Friday, Saturday); all meals till Sunday lunch, all sessions, discussions & conference activities. Members will require to plan their own air-travel and airport transport.
